Metaphor of Myself

Metaphor of Myself

I compare myself to a bus, a bus that you could go along as you travel. I’m like a bus because you could go along with me, travel together, and still have space for new passengers. I may not know who are the passengers whose travelling with me, but what’s important is that they became part of my travel. Like a bus, I meet different persons along the way. Some ride uncomfortably, some are just contented, some are happy to go with, and some are just there to ride and tell a story but never pay for the fair. Passengers come and go. Like friends they don’t always stay with you until you reach the destination. A bus should also take a rest in the travel. That is why there’s the bus stop. A bus stop is where you could stop, think and reflect on your travel. Realized how much and how long you travel with your passengers. It is also a time where in you gain energy, so that you’ll be ready again to travel. I’m like a bus because in every travel that I have I also have a destination. My destination is my goal in life. As I reach my goal, it would be my complete stop, it would the end of my journey or it would be a preparation for another destination. However it is not only about the destination. It is also about my journey. In my journey there will be rough and slippery road, traffic, bus stops, and lots of passengers. And that’s the best part, experiencing those things completes your journey and takes you safely to your destination. That’s one of the best parts of a bus’ life. That’s the part of my life as a bus.
